The innovative retractable hard top was the key to the styling of the 458 Spider’s exterior. The hard top’s movement and the way in which its two sections fold away into the compartment in front of the engine have resulted in a highly original division of the volumes. The constraints involved in a retractable folding hard top actually provided the inspiration for forms that neatly resolve the problems of its packaging, both from the point of view of the car’s layout and its aerodynamics.

The FF’s styling, created by Pininfarina, is completely new in every sense of the word. The FF is modern, innovative, futuristic and stunningly elegant: the perfect marriage of aerodynamic constraints and the rules of design. On closer examination, however, the FF also exhibits, at its very heart, a recognisable Ferrari signature that manages to make it different from any other car whilst linking it to its genetic heritage. Ferrari California

Design and styling

When designing the Ferrari California, Pininfarina opted for a classic, sculpted chassis, with a long bonnet and the passenger area slightly weighted towards the rear. The side of the car features a strong, dynamic, raked line. The line lifts at the height of the door handle to trace the outline of the typical Ferrari rear bumper. The air intake in the front bumper is enhanced by a traditional grille. The slender air intake vent on the bonnet and the side air vents both echo distinctive features of the 1957 Ferrari California 250.

V12 ZAGATO ASTON MARTIN

There’s no question that Aston Martin’s crown jewel model is the One-77 Supercar. To that, the V12 Zagato comes second. The level of intricacy and detail behind the building of the V12 Zagato is a testament to the painstaking process that takes approximately 2,000 man-hours to complete.

In essence, the V12 Zagato draws some similarities to the One-77 in that it’s been built from a combination of hand crafted aluminum and carbon fiber. The bonnet, the signature ’double-bubble’ roof, and doors are made of hand-crafted aluminum, while the front and rear fenders, door sills, and boot lid surround are made from carbon fiber.
